Growing up throughout my elementary school years, I always hated to write papers for any subject. As i continued to practice and increase my vocabulary, I became more comfortable with writing any sort of paper whether it is a short answer or an essay. Sometimes the best kind of writing is a free-write, which allows you to pick any topic of your choice. I have really enjoyed reading my classmates blogs every week. It helps me to get to know them better and I also get to hear their opinions on what they have learned or think about a situation so far. Since we began to write blogs every week I have found myself becoming stress free. I also began to write one short paragraph a night about my day to decrease the stress. Writing is very useful to me because i get to express my feelings, thoughts, and my creativity. The blogs give me a bit of a break from all of my classes. When I start writing it gives me a sign of relief that someone will finally listen to what I am asking or saying. As I am reading my classmates articles, they might insert something that I have no clue about and I gain knowledge that will help me better myself in the future. Whenever I finish reading their blogs I comment my opinion on whether i disagree or agree. It really means a lot that they use it and take it into consideration of what i'm saying. While reading articles the most thing that stands out to me is how my classmates describe what they have been through this school year, or how they are progressing in their classes. I never know what to expect out of my classmates because their minds are so open and they are willing to talk anything.
While writing you think of the events that happened on a certain day. You are writing about what made you sad or happy, but you are no longer involved in those things as you began to talk about them. I once researched that whenever you are writing or typing a paper, your breathing becomes slower and your mind is wide open for different ideas to enter. Being a writer is an active process. The more relaxed you are the better you can think and become a better writer. It doesn't matter what you are writing about as long as you are writing how you feel or what you believe in.
Ke-ke, Loads of research exists suggesting that writing for ten minutes a day - TEN MINUTES! - drastically decreases anxiety, broadens creativity, deepens intelligence, and assists in growing one's attention span. Your practice of writing a single paragraph about your day is ridiculously valuable. I'm quite proud of you and challenged to return to such a practice myself. Keep it up. Consider this comment a massive high five.
ReplyDeletei agreeit is nice to read about others and what cool things they have done.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was young, I also hated to write papers. I think that is really cool that you make time out of your day and write to release stress because in college we do face many difficiculties.
ReplyDeleteI was the same one I hated writing in elementary but now when we are writing more and reading each others blogs has helped a lot.
